Subject: Where I'm at for the tape driver for the 8200 changes...

The smoke test change I made for tape seemed to work fine for 8200's.
Justin had a lot of suggestions about what to change about tape and I had
a lot of opinions and I'll be getting to all of this very soon.

The problem that has hung me up over the last couple of days (interleaving
this all with a number of other tasks) is that dump sometimes either
mysteriously hangs while writing to my DLT and I'm trying to trace what's
occurred there, or the system has panic'd while doing a dump. There is
some speculation and evidence that for the latter case I/O errors from a
filesystem's disk can cause this panic, but that hasn't been definitively
tested out.

Have patience. I really am working on this- it's just each test run
takes an hour or more and if we're dealing with a 'flakey' several runs
have to occur for me to trap a particular error.
