That's what he did.

You don't need to compile the driver into the kernel; just kldload it.
You do need to enable pccard, however, and run pccardd.  If that
happens, you can still run into problems with unknown cards.  For
example, I recently got an IBM wireless card, which is in fact a
repackaged Lucent card, but the ID strings in the CIS are different.
Make sure your pccardd is running and check /var/log/messages for any
messages when you insert and remove the card.
