I was able to fix the QT upgrade with minimal port deletions:

> pkg delete -f qt4-linguisttools-4.8.7
> pkg delete -f qt4-rcc-4.8.7
> cd /usr/ports/misc/qtchooser/ && make install clean
> pkg delete -f qt4-qmake-4.8.7

> cd /usr/ports/devel/qt4-linguisttools/ && make install clean
> cd /usr/ports/devel/qt4-rcc/ && make install clean

Portupgrade -arR was then able to finish the rest.

Though qt5-buildtools-5.7.1 failed and had to be retried manually.
