Subject: routed -s => routed[674]: sendto(xe0, 224.0.0.1): No route to host

What am I missing. I want to send rip updates into the network
and started routed -s. Why does it not work and why do I get
the messages mentioned in the subject ?
I set
sysctl -w net.inet.ip.forwarding=1
manually ...
What do I wrong, what's missing ?
