Reported this to current@ previously but hoping a better targeted
audience will be able to help.
I have a Kabylake based Dell Inspiron 7000 laptop with the
Realtek ALC3253 audio chipset. i am running current via the drm-next
branch - graphics, network and everything else is working great except
audio.
when i cat /dev/sndstat i get the following:
$ cat /dev/sndstat
Installed devices:
pcm0: <Realtek (0x0225) (Analog)> (play/rec) default
pcm1: <Intel Kabylake (HDMI/DP 8ch)> (play)
No devices installed from userspace.
I am unable to get audio via either the pcm0 or pcm1 devices. I am
unsure as to the best way to get this chipset working and am happy to
help. here's the output of pciconf on this box:
$ pciconf -lv
