Hi fellow developers,

${JOB} is hiring, looking for:

Ops Engineer

As an Ops Engineer, you will need a good command of programming and
able to function in a role within Operations. Your responsibilities
will start with problem resolution and contribute to the overall
health of our environment. You may need to reverse engineer solutions
while understanding the bigger designs in place. A strong
understanding of systems administration is a requirement.

In this role, you will work on large-scale system design and
troubleshooting. Your job is not only maintaining critical systems,
but proactively improving the design, tuning, and scaling the
infrastructure to stay ahead of the growth curve. In-depth
understanding of Linux system internals, large-scale storage
solutions, and load-balancing is critical.

Responsibilities:
- influence and create new designs, architectures, standards, and
methods for large-scale distributed systems
- engage in service capacity planning, demand forecasting, software
performance analysis, and system tuning
- conduct periodic on call duties
- maintaining servers and load-balancers across a variety of
locations

Requirements:
- experience working with Linux systems from kernel to shell
- understanding of networking and load-balancing
- expertise in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale
distributed systems
- experience in high bandwidth HTTP traffic, content delivery, and
caching
- systematic problem solving approach, coupled with a strong sense of
ownership
- experience in one or more of: C, C++, Java, Python, Ruby, or Perl.
- BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or
equivalent practical experience
