Job description: 

 

Networks In Motion provides award-winning wireless navigation solution
for today's GPS enabled mobile phones, and its exceptionally reliable
platform s deliver location-centric information to people on the go,
offering continuous access to local directories, map, driving directions
and more.

You will have a direct impact on design and development of our Network
/Operations. You will be a member of a dynamic IT/Operations team
committed to making NIM an example of the best product in the industry.
On the IT/Operations side, we strive to make NIM's operation running
24x7. You will work with IT/Operations team to provide daily operational
support to NIM and also help in enhancing existing network,
process/procedure and our database.

 

Responsibilities: 

Responsible for daily operational support for NIM's FreeBSD server
clusters.

Manage day to day Operations and maintenance of all data and
communication network systems, including incident resolution of network
hardware and software issues.

Experience working with Datacenter environment with SLA/OLA.

 

Review, evaluate, recommend and develop objectives, policies and
procedure to ensure that systems are meeting the needs of business
functions.

 

Network configuration and protocol knowledge (switch port setting, IP)
Networking concepts, including experience with switches router and
firewalls.

Develop and documents network standard and strategies Capacity and
performance analysis for LAN and WAN utilization Support service quality
metrics

 

Requirements:

3+ years of hands-on experience in a computer networking and datacenter

Extensive knowledge of FreeBSD. Linux and Unix is a plus.

Experience scripting. Python experience is a plus.

Hands-on experience with Cisco Products

Must be organized, detail oriented, personable, multi-focused and have
ability to handle concurrent projects.

Excellent written and oral communication/technical skills Must be on
call 24x7 US citizenship or permanent US residency required
