ViaNet Communications is a Palo Alto, CA  ISP specializing in offering 
internet services to businesses.  We're looking for someone who can 
wear multiple hats: Network Admin / Unix Sysadmin / Tech Support.

You primary job duties will be resolving 1'st level customer support 
requests via telephone and email. 

Adding new user accounts to colo servers, Apache config changes, DNS
changes - these are the typical requests.

You should have good telephone skills and enjoy dealing with customers.

Skills required:
 - Extensive experience with DNS.
 - Extensive experience with TCP/IP Ethernet networking and routing.
 - Experience with common ISP software(e.g. DHCP, BIND, DIABLO,
   Apache, PHP and MySQL setup and admin. PERL scripting)
 - Extensive experience with Internet server technology.
 - Strong familiarity with ISDN and/or DSL technology. 
 - Strong organizational and problem solving skills.
 - Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks.
 - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
