That's technically a bug or some kind of incompleteness in the emulation.

BTW, another FreeBSD JVM developer got an alpha quality native HotSpot
that's got the native port changes in our CVS repository now. Hopefully,
a patch set with those changes will be pushed out to the general public
soon.

I've moved to -current for all of my development now since their libc_r
system has bug fixes that I don't want to back port to -stable.
