After some poking around the jikes sources,
I've answered my earlier question;
i.e., the specific wchar functions were there all along,
only the order of "config.h" got changed since v0.47 (perhaps),
which made "wcscpy" disappear to IntToWstring(), also in config.h.
Shifting the required #define's prior to their reference resolves
the linking problem.
