It's the Hitachi MX-133's internal ethernet card.  I haven't opened it
up to see who's card it is, but the lance chip is the Am79C970A.  The
PCI probe succeeds, but it fails to initialize.  I think that's
because it can read the PCI config registers, but not map the device
registers. 

I'm glad your problem is solved.
