As long as it doesn't contain the characters / (slash) or \0 (binary
0), you should be OK.  If the shell doesn't like it, put it in quotes
('פג').  Of course, you'll need to be able to generate the characters,
but I gather that's not your problem.

On the whole, I find it inconvenient to use non-ASCII character for
file names.  You can confuse utilities in subtle ways.
