I'm trying to make a boot floppy for 2.2.6 with a non-supported driver
included in it. I already have a patched /sys/ tree (that has the
driver in it) which was use to generate the kernel. I have a virgin
2.2.6 src tree in /usr/src.
Ant pointers to how I would go about making a boot floopy? I assume I
need to use the make release mechanism? In that case, is there anyway
to just make the floppy?
I notice that there is a :
KERNELS?= GENERIC

line in the /usr/src/release Makefile. does that mean that the
boot.floppy made will pick up the GENERIC config file from
/sys/i386/conf ?

Thanks for any help or pointers.

Thanks
Viren
