 A grep of the source tree shows that refcnt is either modified through 
 the macro IFAFREE, or directly - however it isn't assigned to or from
 a variable anywhere in /usr/src .
 
 It should be ok to redefine ifa_refcnt to a larger type. I'll follow
 this one up with a patch once I've tested it.
