Hey all,
I don't know if anyone had mentioned this before, but CNet has actually
stated what a bunch of people here have been saying all along....
Look at: http://home.cnet.com/category/topic/0,10000,0-3709-7-285083,00.html
To quote CNet:
"Harriet's a bit miffed at Linux's recent celebrity status. The Berkeley
Software Distribution of Unix was the original free operating system. And
it's really Unix; Linux is just a work-alike. True, FreeBSD doesn't support
as many hardware configurations as Linux, but it works just fine on most
PCs. And Harriet doesn't need all the handholding Linux provides. She does
need lightning-fast speed, rock-solid stability, and the ability to modify
the OS as she pleases. FreeBSD fits that bill. "
Just thought I'd pass it on.
