(1) Do your initial clone using your username/password:

     fossil clone http://userid@www.repo.org/path/to/repo

The "userid@" part of the prefix is your userid on the server.  Fossil
will prompt you for your password, and prompt you as to whether or not
you want Fossil to remember that password for future use.

(2) You can run "fossil remote
http://userid:www.repo.org/path/to/repo".  Again, Fossil will prompt
you for the password.
