Xpress == experimental => odd-number 
Stable => even-number 


The next stable release should be 2.6 since 2.5.1xpres1 is already available. 


2.4.6 is a minor version release (aka enhancement) to 2.4.x family.

Hi, which version of opendj should I use for production? 2.4.6 or 2.5.1-xpres1? 
I'm testing 2.5.1xpres1 without any problems, but ... 
What does xpres1 mean? 
New releases will take 2.4.6 or 2.5.1xpres1 as base for upgrading?
