A review of 19 Linux anti-virus scanners and (on-access) virus guards can
be found in the following c't article (tested with Red Hat, Debian and Suse):
<http://www.heise.de/security/artikel/39978>

It's in German language, but I'm sure the translation of the following
table using Google should be well-enough to understand the results (e.g.
problems found, detected viruses, supported archive formats):
<http://www.heise.de/security/artikel/39978/5>

The Virus Bulletin magazine has published an interesting review of Linux
virus scanners as well. Unfortunetely, it's only included in the current
printed issue. However, a good impression about the results can be found in
the following summary:
<http://www.virusbtn.com/vb100/archives/products.xml?table>

If you're interested in current test results of ClamAV, Symantec AV or
Sophos, plus their mail virus scanners (used by large e-mail service
providers), I'd suggest to read the following German article:
<http://www.tekit.de/tekit-aktuelles.html>

Hope, this helps.

cheers,
Andreas
