That's easy:

  $ jscal -c /dev/input/js0

After that

  $ jscal -p /dev/input/js0  >your-personal-joystick-calibration-script.sh

And then you can let this script be called automatically on boot, login
(~/.profile, ~/.bashrc) etc.
