Thanks Sascha,

That is about what I figured except I didn't consider the MP aspect. For now I guess \
this goes onto my "future TODO" list. It was just a thought that came to me after \
reading that particular airport procedures and I was curious if the question had ever \
been asked and answered.

All is possible, its only a matter of developement.
I think locally its not a big deal, but in MP it becomes complicated.
If a pilot activate the lights, all another pilots in visual range
should also see the lights. That means the airport lights must be
controlled by the MP server and inform all clients if the airport light
is on or off. Thats the point where it becomes complicated.
I think we had this discussion already sometime in the forum.
