Thanks.

AW now makes use of the new controls (I still need to fine-tune, but the basics are \
there...)

In addition, a short reminder:

* Aircraft developers can now set /environment/precipitation-control/clip-distance to \
a value different from 5 in the aircraft xml - for open cockpits, setting it to 0 \
will eliminate any clipping of precipitation (if you're willing to accept rain inside \
the cockpit otherwise, that's also a hack around the panel clip plane issue).

* There's a property rule in force which changes the illumination of precipitation \
based on the time of day. It also illuminates the rain if the generic ALS landing \
light properties /sim/rendering/als-secondary-lights/use-landing-light etc. are set \
to true. I don't know if there's some similarly generic property which tells whether \
a Rembrandt landing light is on or not - if so, I'll be happy to include it, \
otherwise I would advise aircraft developers to activate the ALS generics anyway \
regardless of the rendering scheme - they don't do anything outside ALS - if they \
want their landing lights to illuminate rain and snow (I believe Rembrandt doesn't do \
that by itsefl (?) Perhaps someone who knows how lights are otherwise done \
aircraft-side can educate me here.

* Thorsten
