Just downloaded KnightStar datasheet from Cyberguard site and found some
data appearing to be quite unrealistic.

PERFORMANCE:
Ordinarily, when you need "extra-strength" security, you have to settle
for slow performance. Not so with Cyberguard KS. In demanding environments,
you can depend on the KS for maximum throughput

..

KS 1500 - 1.5Gbps performance
Up to 1.2 million simultaneous connections
Single processor appliance
512Mb Memory

..

426 bytes for proxy instanse handling the connection, assuming there is
no OS at all ;-)

A few questions:
this data are obviously bogus. where can i get actual ones?

how do cyberguard proxies handle connections: a single process
handling all data of given protocol at time or traditional multiprocess
or multithread model?

I've seen some firewall comparisons on the net but those appeared rather
stupid for me: they all used tools to compare packet filtering performance
which is definitely an inadequate method for proxy systems.

Is Cyberguard machine a generic Intel box?
