Hello Peter,

thank you for this quick introduction to creating local packages.  But 
actually I had hoped for a more hackish way to try it out first.  In 
OpenEmbedded or gentoo one can edit the source tree of a failed compile in 
place and restart the installation process at that point:

bitbake -ccompile package-name
ebuild package-file compile


The new officical kdebase4-runtime-mac packages compiles fine here and 
KPhotoalbum (my target) is installed now.  It does not really work, 
though.  Will have a look at it in some weeks.
