Problem is more general:
same thing happens with other symlinks manually installed in /sw/fink/ 
dists/ or below
(eg symlinks to older trees, to parts of experimental, etc)
It is as if pathnames to deb files had to be passed through 'readlink  
-f' before
deciding whether they match..
