Ah.  I totally missed seeing that the error was in gtk+2 rather than
dbus1.3-shlibs (so I'm not sure why you cced the initial email to _that_
maintainer).

We've had several other reports of this problem.  I've had to reinstall
10.6, so I'm not yet in a position to try to reproduce the issue fully.
 However, I can ask what I've asked other people:

Do you have any other instances of locale.h or xlocale.h other than in
/usr/include?

It's probably worth using "dpkg -S locale.h" to make sure that an update
to a Fink package hasn't accidentally put an incompatible locale.h in a
place where it can be picked up easily.
