fink knows about your 64-bit machine, but that doesn't mean that
individual packages in the Fink distribution necessarily know what to
do--they have to  be handled on a case-by-case basis because there's not
a unique method that works for every package.

10.6/stable is populated by packages that are known to work, whereas
that verification process did not take place for 10.6/unstable; instead
we're using feedback such as yours to fix those packages (and
potentially be able to move them to stable.  Not all maintainers are
using Snow Leopard yet, so there may be delays.

I'm ccing the maintainer of gprolog, as the party who will be
responsible for fixing the package.
