Nobody is complaining about my including patches now because I'm
not doing it! But they have, they have -- I've tried including
patches before, and find that I get much louder complaints about
bulking up peoples' mail.
I can understand that. I would complain -loud- if you sent the patches
to the mailing list. I, however, still think they should be made
available on the web site.
As for making them available on the website, that's a different
question. Maybe, if I can figure out a way to do it that doesn't
involve handhacking the diff list on each release.
I take it "handhacking the diff list on each release" means modifing
the HTML at the web site. Wouldn't it be easy to set up a script to
generate the diff and update the HTML when you run it for every new
release? Hmm. I could help with that...
Thanks.
Alejo.
