Festival Speech Synthesis System: 1.96:beta July 2004
Operating System: Ubuntu 9.10 (karmic) 64 bit

What I'm trying:

festival --tts test.sable

When test.sable contains the following:

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<!DOCTYPE SABLE PUBLIC "-//SABLE//DTD SABLE speech mark up//EN"
"Sable.v0_2.dtd">
<SABLE><SPEAKER NAME="male1"><PRON SUB="hello">foo</PRON> <BREAK/> <PRON
SUB="world">bar</PRON></SPEAKER></SABLE>

I only get the "hello"
Not what I expect.

But when it contains

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<!DOCTYPE SABLE PUBLIC "-//SABLE//DTD SABLE speech mark up//EN"
"Sable.v0_2.dtd">
<SABLE><SPEAKER NAME="male1"><PRON SUB="hello">foo</PRON> um <BREAK/>
<PRON SUB="world">bar</PRON></SPEAKER></SABLE>

I get what I expect, "hello um world"

Is this a bug in festival or is it lack of understanding the sable
format on my part?

Thanks for suggestions.
