For what it's worth, I felt compelled late last night to discuss with 
RedHat/Fedora about the "missing" bits of the Festival and accompanying 
software in its packages, so I raised this bug/ticket:

I have just uploaded a Fedora 10 RPM (Source and User) for the 
Pointyclicky system, including the patches I've mentioned before.

Since it looks like I'm going to need this on several different 
computers, it benefits me, and if it benefits anyone else then all the 
better ;-)
