There is a Priority option you should be able to find in each wireless
network connection's settings or you can use nmcli:

$ nmcli connection modify NAME connection.autoconnect-priority 10

If that doesn't work well enough you could also just uncheck
"Automatically connect" on the secondary network and only connect to
it when you need it.
