A package I'm reviewing needs to create a group, so it has a sysusers
file. There's a problem getting sysusers_create_compat to work.
https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/packaging-guidelines/UsersAndGroups/
shows how to use it with a sysusers file as a separate numbered source.
In this package the sysusers file is included in the upstream tarball,
which seems appropriate if other distributions also use sysusers files.

Somebody who knows syusers and scriptlets, please have a look at the
review and comment on point 28:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2126785

Is there a way to use sysusers_create_compat with a file from the
tarball, or is it necessary to have the sysusers file as a source
separate from the tarball?

The subpackage that needs the group during installation depends on the
one that contains the sysusers file, so can sysusers_create_compat be
avoided by running systemd-sysusers in a suitable scriptlet between the
two packages?
