Does anyone know the hardware capabilities of the sound chip on the 5400 
and 5500?  I can't seem to set the audio to 8000 HZ.  When I try to set 
the sample rate to 8000 the sample gets set to 16000 HZ.  I'm using the 
oss drivers and not the alsa drivers.
