Hmmm... never had this problem before.

I'm not sure, but when I make lists I use the "-f" option. Maybe you
didn't, and that's why it doesn't work, the man page says:

       -f   Prefix.  ezmlm-make will set up the list so that  the
            outgoing subject will be prefixed with the list name.

       -F   (Default.)  No prefix.
