exmh 2.3.1

A user pointed out that writing to a read-only file (using "Save to file") 
exmh is somewhat subtle about reporting that the write fails -- all it does it 
put a (truncated) warning in the one line "message" box -- which disappears as 
soon as the user does anything else ((is there a way to see a scrollable 
window of the messages which have been displayed ?)).

Could it generate a pop-up or some such ?
