Nope, its there:

indrora@lilac:~$ cat /etc/localdomains
indrora.homelinux.org
kabuki-duke.ath.cx

Or, have I placed them in the wrong spot?

Searching for local_domains in /etc/exim gives me:

lilac:/etc/exim4# grep MAIN_LOCAL_DOMAINS */*/*
conf.d/main/01_exim4-config_listmacrosdefs:domainlist local_domains =
MAIN_LOCAL_DOMAINS

I added ",indrora.homelinux.org,kabuki-duke.ath.cx" to that and called
invoke-rc.d exim4 reload, but still get the following bounce message
when I send a testing message:
