Thank you, Andre. Problem turned out to be hardware: a worn out mouse. Problem \
went away with new mouse.

John

Never heard of that, but the "keyboard input vs toolbar button"
behavior sounds like https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=775656
which is fixed in Evolution version 3.22.5.

You could ask packagers of your distribution to backport the fix, or
upgrade to a more recent version of your distribution which includes
Evolution 3.22.5 or newer, or try to find some more recent third-party
packages out there (Ubuntu calls that "PPA") for your distribution.

Intermittent error that has been around for past month or so. If
message in message list (inbox, for example) is highlighted, clicking
on the DELETE icon (Trash bucket) deletes not only the highlighted
message but also the message below. This does not happen if the
Delete key is used. Mouse is Logitech M185.
