I always use devfs.
I hope there is no problem with evms in future.
Now I'm using evms 2.0 on a debian woody in various production machines.
I have only / as a normal partition to avoid any kind of problem.
The rest is all in evms volumes.
Hope not to get in troubles in the future :-)
