What version of xfs you are running?  1.2 XFS should have the changes to
work with EVMS enable kernel.
You can download it from: http://oss.sgi.com/projects/xfs/

Can you re-create the problem using other filesystem such as ext2?  If so,
please post the kernel oops message.
