Ah, I can see the problem right away. When you create the container
"mycontainer", you are specifying a pe_size of 8 kB. Since each LVM
region is limited to 65535 PEs, this means your max region size is
512 MB. This is why all of your region creates are being rounded down.

You should probably just stick with the default PE size of 4 MB, which
gives you a max region size of 256 GB (which is more than enough for
your 33 GB container). Just do:

create:container,LvmRegMgr={name=mycontainer},sdg
