Subject: [Evms-devel] evms detects no longer existing LVM and crashes
From: Eduard Bloch <edi () ka ! linux ! de>

Package: evms
Version: 1.0.1-1
Severity: normal
Tag: upstream

Evms and evmsgui crash with the messages appended below. It seems that
LVM uses the first block to detect a LVM and not the partition type, but
mke2fs and mkreiserfs do not change the first block. The partition been
reformated with ReiserFS and got type 83, so it should no longer be
detected as an LVM. Even then, evms should not crash.
