We have suffered a huge loss in that our development efforts, now almost 50%
complete, had to grind to a halt due to our hardware vendor having to close
business. We had committed to using the UIB, or "Universal Internet Box".
It's actually quite a nice unit. It's small, and is designed in an
attractive case, with a 2x16 char display, two buttons, and 2 led's. What
we like most about it is that it has an RS-232 port, a phone modem and an
Ethernet port, and runs a very fine o/s, linux, derived from the 6.0 release
of RedHat.

Now we are somewhat stuck, and are seeking suggestions on where to go from
here.

Anyone familiar with the UIB care to comment on this? We'd like to go
directly to the manufacturer of it and plead our case, but this seems
impossible at the moment.
