I saw the problem, but no solution. :(

as an update:
If I run enlightenment from an xterm inside of a blank X server (eg,
startx /usr/X11R6/bin/xterm -- :1, and from that xterm run enlightenment
from there), e segfaults when the mouse leaves the xterm window entering
the root window.
