Quoting my CVS committal just before:

(Kim)

Fix making slightly offscreen (x/y < 0) windows sticky.
This one caused (aot.) pagers and iconboxes to get lost when changing theme.
----------------
I hope that fixes it, please do try it out.

And quoting myself again (sorry folks):

I cannot reproduce that mplayer does things to other windows.

To fix the menu stacking problem, see "gmplayer -fstype help".
I suggest using -fstype none.

Mplayer does stupid things to try to stack its windows. I suggest to
report further problems to the mplayer people.
----------------
Furthermore, if compiling without --enable-hints-gnome (or using the
pre6 RH9 binary RPM from SF), I think the problem will not be there.

/Kim
