Hello,

Here goes the second release candidate. At some point during the past
couple of days the patching became rather hectic. Most of it is work
going into improving ECMAScript support, which still is very
experimental and unstable, but the rest of the code should be fairly
unaffected by it. The main changes includes fixes for a lot of bugs
marked as blockers and something not seen very often: new documentation.

The 24th of December is getting closer and I urge translators that want
updates to go in before the final 0.10.0 to be released Christmas Eve to
hurry up and submit them.

Features:

 - Periodically make a snapshot of all tabs in all terminals. It will be
removed on a clean shutdown. If ELinks accidentally (yes, this does
actually happen ;) crashes this can help to restore some of the lost
   browsing state.

Updates:

 - Lots of new documentation on various features. You will find it in
   the doc/ directory.

 - elinks(1) now documents all command-line options.

 - Warn about misleading and maliciously crafted URIs. It is optional
via document.browse.links.warn_malicious; on by default. (bug 382)

 - Check for IP addresses when checking the domain security of cookies
and reject evil plots where the alias 127.1 domain-matches
99.54.127.1. Idea from Mozilla. (bug 562)

 - ECMAScript improvements involving support for form access from
scripts. Also plenty of bug and security holes have been fixed.

 - Remove various old (since May 2003) compatibility option aliases.

Bugfixes:

 - Remove non-printable and control chars from decoded URIs before
displaying them in the status bar. (bug 573)

 - Make local CGI handle the query part of URIs. (bug 570)

 - Fix crash when moving back through history. (bug 559)

 - Fix leak and invalid access to freed memory reported by Valgrind.
   (bug 578)

 - Fix namespace clash with GCC.

 - Mark all items visible when no matches are found using the (generic)
   manager search utility. (bug 567)

Add to this various smaller fixes, language updates and cleanups. The
complete changelog is available in the package.

Please, if a bug you reported in bugzilla (http://bugzilla.elinks.or.cz)
has been fix help to close it or report back whether it fixed your
problem.

As always you are more than welcome to join the insomniacs hanging out
at the #elinks channel on irc.freenode.net if you want to report issues
or meet developers.
