Blog comments are node comments. There is no difference.

I may ask at work where we have a huge blog site and see if they are interested in my \
doing something along those lines.

Do you know whether the nodecomment module would work also for blog comments or only \
for forum comments?

I will most likely do that. Do you do customization like expanding the nodecomment \
module's effectiveness for blog comments too, if it is not yet?
