This is very similar to the issue I was experiencing... 

(EE) MGA(0): [drm] MGADRIScreenInit failed (DRM version = 3.0.2, expected 1.0.x)
.  Disabling DRI

Can anyone fill in how this problem can be addressed?  (In my case it's 2.4.10 and 
X4.1.0)
