A live image is very handy and useful for emergeny situations,
especially because HAMMER1 isn't support anywhere else.

It's also a good way to test new hardware and see how the
driver situation is and start optimizing the boot process
by feeling the pain of a livecd seek wait or slow usb disk.

It's also of course useful as a live dfly environment you can
pop in and use for all kinds of things other than what I
head been thinking.
