Thanks, that was just the hint I needed.  It turns out that Doxygen treats .txt files specially, 
it ignores them when processing SOURCE_BROWSER.

More importantly for me, it also does this for .doc and .dox.  So I just renamed my .doxy files
to .dox and everything works as I wanted.

I just started using Doxygen, but I did this by just calling my
"extra" file doxyextras.txt and adding it to the INPUT configuration
option. I don't see doxyextras.txt in my File List.
