Hi!

Pause /usr-merge moves

https://lists.debian.org/debian-release/2023/12/msg00020.html

busybox: possible file loss during upgrade arising from /usr-merge

https://bugs.debian.org/1057219

Don't get me wrong: Helmut does the best he can and he seems to be a
Debian developer one can talk with. I just wanted to point at some recent
issues with usr-merge coming up.

Somehow I have the feeling this is just the beginning. Eventually in the
end all of this will be solved, except for maybe some more minor nitpicks.
However the amount of effort spent into this… unbelievable. Everyone can
use their time as they like to. I would not have spend even just a second
on merging usr.

In case you use Devuan Ceres, better have apt-listbugs installed. I
notified me about bug #1057219 and I instructed it to pin the package.

Best,

Martin
