"Piracy is not a private offense," Hilary Rosen, president of the RIAA, said
in a statement. "It hurts everyone by diminishing the incentive to invest in
the creation of music. It should not, therefore, be viewed as a crime only
against authors, performers, composers, musicians, record companies,
distributors, wholesalers and retailers, but against each of us."

Hi: I think she's exactly right with the words, but missed the appropriate
place for stating thus. The appropriate place would be a subcommittee
hearing on the Music Industry's conviction and continued illegal practices of
price-fixing, failure to pay artists' royalties, and continued presence on
this earth.
Just a thought,
Tom
